Whether your horse is in serious training, lightly ridden, competing, or stiff with this weather, equine massage can greatly benefit the muscles by increasing repair of damage that can occur for many number of reasons. Equine massage improves circulation, relaxes muscle spasms, increase range of motion, aids in healing of old or new injuries, and will benefit the overall well being of the animal as well as aid in mentally relaxing them!
A horse's body weight is comprised of more than 65% of muscle. This is even more of a reason to consider equine massage as a part of your routine! Even the smallest of muscle injuries can take up to 95 days to become noticeable. You may observe your horse become lame, experience a change in attitude, or a decreased performance. Muscle injury may affect one area, and radiate to another muscle group. Prompt attention is needed to prevent this from becoming a major problem! You can be sure I will teach you stretches, as well as other techniques to keep your equine best friend happy between massages.
